here are two funny pics from this week.

casey was apparently being haunted by something in the bathroom cabinets and wouldn't leave them alone, so finally kevin had to pick him up AND stand on a chair to let him investigate the highest shelves himself...

my mom and i went to the mall to take advantage of the post-holiday sales and found maternity clothes on sale! as bizarre as it sounds, they strap a giant belly pillow to your stomach so that you can see how clothes are going to fit once you get bigger - so here's me at 7-8 months along!

this is the funniest thing i've seen on snl in a long time...

i haven't blogged much lately because i am trying to keep from talking incessantly about the oh-so-fun details of pregnancy so that i don't deter any of you out there from wanting to give this thing a shot. :)

oh i could go on and on about morning sickness (which is a misleading term when its ALL day), force feeding yourself food to keep yourself from throwing up (and how twisted that concept is), the general gaseousness (i actually gave 'burpin brittany baker' a run for her money saturday night).

instead, i'll just use this as an opportunity to point out why its so darn important to marry the right guy!! i can't begin to explain how sweet and patient and loving kevin has been for the past 6 weeks. he brings me flowers, he rubs my back, he tells me my newly grown 'pooch' is "sexy", he listens to my complaints, and he just makes me feel loved.

i just don't know what i would do without him. i can't believe i get to have his baby!!

kevin and i at my company party

now that i am pregnant i feel like there are babies everywhere. even my orange had a baby today...

hello, world! i am about half an inch long with a beating heart and am about the size of a raspberry. i make my mom sick about 3-4 times a day depending on my mood. i've got a lot of growing to do, but in february mom & dad will come back for another sneak peek and find out if i'm a boy or a girl!

i saw one of the most miraculous sights of my life this morning... my tiny baby's heartbeat!!

you have to watch closely, but the flicker of light in the middle of the tiny bean is its heart racing at 150 beats per minute!

we are officially 2 months pregnant and due in july! surprise!! :)

this is the shortest video in history, but we will upload the longer one this evening where you can hear the heartbeat.

what is wrong with this pic??

you gotta love a smoking pregnant lady worried about how sound pollution is harming her fetus. craaaa-zy!

today's post is brought to you by erin tyrrell, do-gooder extraordinaire:

Campbell's soup has a promotion for each city with an NFL franchise. Go to their website and vote for the COWBOYS! For each vote, they will donate a can of soup to a Dallas soup kitchen. The Cowboys and those in need could use our votes!

Go HERE to vote!

its snowing!!!

bea loves the snow

i'm casey. i am bored by snow.

yippeee for snow!!!!

if i bite your neck, will you play with me?

how about if i sweep the leg?

fine, i'll just play by myself.

i won't go into the disappointing choice that the bachelor made last night... (jen?? really?!!) but i WILL discuss the yum factor of abc's newest choice - andrew balwdin!!

ps. not sure who the chick is ... but its safe to say she's not the future mrs. baldwin

meet the bachelor:
Dr. Andrew "Andy" Baldwin, 29
Lieutenant US Navy residing in Hawaii
Trained as a General Surgeon
Diving Medical Officer for Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit ONE, Pearl Harbor Hawaii.
Hawaii Ironman Triathlon Championship finisher - 9hours 45 minutes

even my mom was curious as to the age cutoff for applicants - this guy is smoking.

he is ALMOST as cute as kevin. almost.

here is the hottie at the ironman:

bea is such a needy little attention whore. if at any moment she senses that a dog or person within the house is receiving attention, she places herself in the middle of any affection being given.

bea butts in...

and takes over!

did i mention that kevin got me a new digital camera for my birthday? i love it!! i just did my first upload to the computer and here are a few pics to share...

little sloane is all smiles now!

grandpa casey needs reading glasses

i met a few of the girls monday night for tapas and yummy frozen sangria at hola. we had such a fun time!

what a fun weekend!

kevin and i drove out to frisco friday night for lots of good laughs with the perry family. those three give the suburbs a good name :) i always love to see kevin genuinely enjoying himself with one of my friends' husbands.

on saturday i got lots of aunt time under my belt. jude and sloane came to visit for a belated birthday lunch and we had a blast. i have a few cute pictures of them and i'll post them as soon as i upload the pics from the camera.

erin and i tried our best to cheer up a grumpy-pants lucy in order to take a cute holiday picture of her- but she just wouldn't cooperate! heck, the girl is even cute when she's crying!

last night mary and i make the trip to cowtown to visit katy and jay's cute new house! they have already moved everything in and it looks like they've been there for years!

and now for the obligatory lucy pics of the week:

i don't WANNA smile for the camera!

how cute am i in antlers?

my newest trick- fish face!

okay, okay, i'll give you a tiny smile

now THIS is good news - i'm only 22.7! what's your Real Age?

things i learned yesterday:

- hearing that someone you voted for won an election feels similar to a sporting team win, though i don't have much experience with that emotion since i went to baylor and tend to swing democratic

- shaving cream will remove nail polish from carpet (thank you, google!)

- no matter how much i was looking forward to the end of this election season, its really just the beginning of the season for '08

- stephen colbert is a sunday school teacher. just when i thought i couldn't love him any more than i already do...

if you love stephen colbert and are even the slightest fanilow, you'll love this as much as i did:

i have an update to an earlier stated observation/accusation regarding kinky friedman's campaign slogan - Remember that?

i talked to kinky on friday (thanks to my love of npr's friday afternoon talkshow "everything you ever wanted to know") and inquired about its origins. he denied stealing the slogan from zack morris and attributed molly ivins as the creator of "kinky. why the hell not?".

it was pretty darn funny. i just wanted everyone know they can count on me to ask the hard hitting questions when given an opportunity to interview gubernatorial candidates.

we made a new friend on the beach in mexico... everyone, meet the many sides of coco.

'hang loose' coco

'eff you' coco

'cuddly' coco
happy birthday to me!
happy birthday to me!
happy birthday, hot ta-mollie, happy birthday to me!

my sweet boss sent me flowers!

i'm so ready for november 7th to be here.

in other news, rush limbaugh is a dick.

ps. michael j fox did a similar ad a few years ago for a republican who supports stem cell research, but you didnt hear rush calling that ad 'exploitation', did ya? maybe its because rush was too drugged up himself at the time...
here are a few cute pictures from lucy's first birthday!

bumble lucy, pocahantas, and el guapo

snotty teary eyed lucy the bee

her whole costumed gang

mexico pictures will follow soon!

more adorable lucy pictures...

can you tell that i'm a proud aunt??!!

i'm officially an npr nerd. not only did i join kera this week during their membership fundraising drive, i called the friday talkshow "everything you ever wanted to know" to ask a question that has been perplexing me for years.

heck, a girl has got to get international news and the answers to her burning questions somewhere!

now if only i could get my celebrity gossip at the same time...

i've made the conscious choice lately to try and NOT wear jeans to work every day of the week. i'm going with that whole "dress for the job you want" theory and making the effort to cut back to 3x a week. : )

this plan leaves two days to experiment. today i dressed in a khaki corduroy skirt, teal sleeveless sweater, and brown flats. still casual, right?

i walked into the office and my boss asked me "what's the special occasion?" you know its time for you to shelf the jeans when a corduroy skirt raises eyebrows.

bea is famous!! ok, maybe not famous, but she's enjoying her momentary notoriety online today- check her out!

my agency made the site and bea was one of the chosen pups for the site launch. i love her video- she is so cute!

could my puppies be any cuter?

no. not possible.

umm... lemme see. seven. yeah seven people have called me adorable so far today

check out all my teeth!

not sure how to tell you this, aunt mollie, but you should really wear more makeup.

kevin and i had a blast at the fair- we laughed till we cried on the love bug!

i absolutely cannot help myself. this is the only thing that has made me laugh so hard i've cried in weeks...

man i love this stuff.

what i don't get is how he fooled anyone into voting for him.

i just wish we had good candidates to look forward to in 2008, but man they aren't exciting me. hillary clinton? you gotta be f'in crazy.

imagine the earth represented by a village of 100 people. what would that village look like?

this short video has a lot to say.

kevin's sandal that was NOT left in the dogs' room yesterday...

kevin's sandal that WAS left in the dogs' room yesterday...

kevin should know which dog owes him about $80 by which one poops leather for the next few days.

things picked up by one of my 5 senses this weekend at acl:

- sweat. mine, other people's, you name it.
- 60,000 people all enjoying themselves and getting along
- pot... and lots of it. (i havent smelled that since i moved to dallas, it doesn't randomly waft through the air here)
- ben kweller with a tampon up his nose trying to stop a nosebleed that was dripping on his guitar and making streaks of bright red on his piano keys
- maudie's queso. it is the stuff of gods and i ate the whole bowl.
- cool rain on sunday morning that later turned into stifling humidity
- my favorite pastor's hugs and love that still bring tears to my eyes. we need that back in our lives.
- laughter at brenda's house late saturday night about our willie nelson fiasco
- the beauty of town lake. i think it misses me.

i miss you too!

i got my lucy fix today after work. i went to hang out with her and michelle for a while and got to watch her try and take her first steps! granted she was more falling toward michelle than walking, but it still counts!!

now its that time again... here come more lucy pics!!

submarine lucy!

daddy's girl

AND in case you wanted proof she is tim's child...
